Rochester City Ballet’s ‘Peter and the Wolf” Interpreted Feb. 5-6 at 2 PM

Rochester City Ballet has a rich tradition of providing quality performances for people of all ages.  This year – our production of Peter and the Wolf, which is a wonderful event for families with young children, will be sign language interpreted for the hearing impaired.

2011 Deaf Rochester Film Fest

The Deaf Rochester Film Fest website is now available.  March 31st – April 3rd. Stacy Lawrence is the 2011 DRFF coordinator.

We will have a special guest this year: Emmanuelle Laborit, a French Deaf actress will be at the event. She is featured in a film that will be shown, Marianna Ucria at the Little Theater, Friday eve, April 1st..
There is a library guide related to Emmanuelle—you will find articles, books, media, book reading guide, etc

New deaf theatre website coordinated by Aaron Kelstone with the assistance of EDR staff Simon Ting and Cathy Clarke and faculty member Patricia Durr.

This Web site showcases and promotes the works of national deaf and hard-of-hearing actors, performers and scriptwriters available through the National Technical Institute for the Deaf, a college of Rochester Institute of Technology. The site is designed for actors, performers, scriptwriters, students, teachers, scholars, and researchers. It offers access to biographies of the actors, performers or scriptwriters with descriptions of their work. Articles, scripts, book chapters and links to related sites are also featured. Please note that this is still a work in progress and more items will be added through this year. (can be found under “Art” at Resources section)
